Ukrainian Mystery: The Death of British Army Major Paul Wilks

The UK Ministry of Defence has announced that British Army Major Paul Wilks has died "in a tragic road traffic accident in Ukraine, away from the frontlines, on 12 September (2026)."

One must wonder about the veracity of the official cause of his death.

The MoD also claimed towards the end of 2025 that Lance Corporal George Hooley of the British Army had died in Ukraine while "observing Ukrainian forces test a new defensive capability away from the front line."

But one must speculate about whether both died from Russian missile attacks or drone strikes aimed at, for instance, at one of the command centres in Ukraine. The Ukrainians depend on American and British intelligence capacities to target locations in Russia. The Franco-British Storm Shadow, a long-range, air-launched cruise missile, doubtlessly requires British assistance in training Ukrainian personnel to use them and in setting up precision targeting.

NATO is knee deep in helping Ukraine prosecute what is in effect a proxy war against Russia.

Back in 2024, a high-ranking Polish army officer, Brigadier General Adam Marczak, died in Ukraine with his obituary stating that his death was caused by "unexplained natural causes". Other reports related that he was apparently killed by a Russian strike on a Ukrainian military command centre in Chasiv Yar.

Perhaps we will get to know the truth after this tragic war is over.
